The Suffolk Cooperative Library System exists to help local public libraries provide the best in traditional and innovative public library service to all the people of Suffolk County, New York.
The County Catalog now toggles between English and Spanish interfaces. The Spanish page offers a special search box for items written in Spanish in addition to a search of the entire catalog. The top search box searches all items in all languages. Homework Help and Answers24x7 in Spanish have linked buttons, as well as a Spanish version of LibGuides called Informate Long Island. Mil gracias to Patchogue-Medford Library for translations of the OPAC, and to Brentwood Public Library for creating the LibGuides. Email

Your patrons can now use the familiar Innovative eCommerce interface to donate to your library! Use our buttons or create custom images of your own. The “donate” link is on the Suffolk County Catalog scope, and can be added to your OPAC scopes. When a donation is made, we receive an email that we will forward to an address you provide to

.
These emails come from patron submissions; not from our patron database. Your patron may chose to be anonymous or misspell their name. The only verifiable information we receive is the last four digits of a credit card, billing address, and zipcode. We cannot positively identify the donor, nor do we send receipts or acknowledgment to the donors. They may print a receipt when they use the online form.
We anticipate making a separate payment to your library for donations as we do for your regular eCommerce payments. We will begin monitoring this as of January 1, 2010, and payments will be made quarterly.
The 26th U.S. president failing re-election goes on an adventure that nearly kills him. In an admirable debut, historian and National Geographic contributor Candice Millard records Theodore Roosevelt's exploration of a hitherto uncharted river in the heart of the Amazon and turns the incredible story of Teddy Roosevelt’s South American adventure into one that easily matches an Indiana Jones screen adventure.
To particpate in the coordinated order for books and CD's please click here for the electronic order form. Orders must be received by December 15, 2009
